Our Palms

Each Jaxonbilt palm hat is carefully hand-blocked on traditional wooden molds using cold water and time-honoured techniques.

Our palm hat bodies are handcrafted in Guatemala, then brought to Jaxonbilt Australia where each piece is shaped, stiffened, sized, and finished by hand. It’s here that every hat takes on its final form, tailored to suit the individual wearing it.

This cold-press method creates a richer surface texture and a softer, more flexible finish than heat-pressed hats. It also allows us to individually shape and crease every piece to suit its wearer.

While the wooden blocks ensure clean, refined lines and a consistent fit, the handmade process guarantees that no two hats are ever identical.

True craftsmanship. Individually yours.

Full Palm

Palm is a naturally durable material, built to handle everyday wear. However, the stiffening process can soften over time if the hat is exposed to excessive or prolonged rain.

Crossbred

For our crossbred designs, the original palm crown is removed and replaced with a handmade, paper-based crown sourced from the United States. This creates an open weave through the crown, allowing airflow to move freely, keeping it light, breathable, and built for the heat, with the wind able to whistle through as you wear it.

The crossbred crown, while beautifully light and breathable, is less durable and not suited to heavy or consistent wet conditions.

Crossbreds start from $250.00
